The Congregational Consulting Group, organized in 2014 by former consultants of the Alban Institute, is a network of independent consultants. We publish PERSPECTIVES for Congregational Leaders—thoughts on topics of interest to leaders of congregations and other purpose-driven organizations. —  Dan Hotchkiss, editor

To Clients, Readers, Colleagues and Friends:

As the Alban Institute closes its one remaining business unit, the Alban Consulting and Education Department, we want you to know what is not changing and how you can continue to access world-class consulting resources in the Alban tradition.

The consultants who have served until recently under the Alban banner will continue to be available to you through their independent consulting businesses. You can find individual profiles and contact information on this web page.

The impending shutdown of Alban’s Consulting and Education unit was announced to the consultants only a few weeks ago, so we are still working on the exact configuration of our individual and/or group practices. At this early point, we can assure you of several things:

  • You can still get the experienced consulting help you came to expect from Alban. Click on one of our individual links at right or email us for a referral. Our goal is that most congregations will experience little difference in the way they access and receive consulting services. If you phone or email the Alban Institute and ask for a consultant, you will be referred to us from there.
  • Please subscribe to our e-newsletter. You have our pledge to provide timely and accurate information about the shape of our various practices going forward. As these new frameworks take shape, we also pledge to bring you high-quality content about the challenges and opportunities faced by congregational leaders today.
  • You can purchase Alban Books from our new publisher, Rowman & Littlefield, or on AmazonBarnes and NobleCokesbury, and other booksellers.
  • You can arrange custom education events for local, regional, and wider audiences. Select the consultant or consults with whom you wish to work, and contact them directly. When we schedule public seminars featuring our consultants, we will list them on this page.

Thanks for joining us on this journey!
